What is Dimmies Direct?

Dimmies Direct is Australia’s first dedicated dim sim delivery service — bringing Melbourne’s best handmade dim sims straight to your door, frozen and ready to steam or fry at home. We partner with iconic local makers to source authentic, restaurant-quality dimmies, pack them with care in insulated boxes, and deliver them frozen fresh across Melbourne.

Our mission is simple: to celebrate the legendary Aussie dim sim and make it easy for everyone to enjoy the real thing without the bain-marie. Whether you’re stocking up the freezer or hosting a dimmy night with mates, Dimmies Direct delivers Melbourne’s favourites to your kitchen, ready when you are.

When are you launching?

We’re kicking things off right here in Melbourne! Our first deliveries will roll out across Melbourne Metro as we test and fine-tune our service. If you’re in the metro area, you’ll be among the first to get your hands on Melbourne’s best dim sims — delivered frozen, ready to steam or fry at home.

As we grow, we’ll expand our delivery zones to cover more of Victoria and eventually ship nationwide.

Where do you deliver?

Right now, Dimmies Direct delivers across Melbourne Metro. We’re starting local and will expand to cover more of Victoria soon.

How do the dimmies arrive?

Your dimmies arrive fresh-frozen in a sturdy insulated box with a foil liner and frozen gel packs to keep everything cold during delivery. They stay frozen from our kitchen to yours, ready to steam, fry, or pop straight into the freezer for later.

Which dim sims are available?

We have partnered with Moon Palace as our first premium dim sim supplier, bringing you their legendary handmade classics and true Melbourne flavour. More makers and styles will be added soon as we grow, including a few unexpected favourites.

What payment methods do you accept?

You can pay securely online with major credit and debit cards.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Yes, before dispatch you can change or cancel through your account or by contacting support.

What if there is an issue with my order?

If something goes wrong with your order, we’ll make it right. Whether your dimmies arrive damaged or something’s missing, just reach out to us at dimmies@dimmies.direct with your order details and a photo if applicable. We’ll review your request and arrange a replacement or refund as quickly as possible.

Why are you only delivering to Melbourne Metro?

We've just launched, and we're determined to ensure you have a perfect experience every time you order through Dimmies Direct. We're testing our packaging, our transport partners, our ordering system, everything. Once we're sure it's perfect we'll expand.

Why is there a minimum order quantity?

Each delivery includes a sturdy insulated box, foil liner, and frozen gel pack to keep your dimmies icy cold on the way to you. Because these materials cost more than your average takeaway container, we set a minimum order of $80 plus delivery fee to make sure we can cover packaging costs while keeping prices fair for everyone.

Can I send a gift box to someone else?

Absolutely. You can enter a different shipping address at checkout and include a gift note in the order comments.

Do you offer restaurant or wholesale supply?

We’re currently focused on home delivery but are working toward a wholesale program. If you run a restaurant or shop, get in touch at dimmies@dimmies.direct.
